Bill Jenkins Hustle Award

Bill Jenkins was the Athlete of the Year at Huntington Beach High School in 1967.  He excelled in the sports of basketball, football and baseball.  Bill was an athlete who always gave 100% and helped each member of the team to give their fullest effort.  His play was exemplified by his preparation and dedication to the task of giving his best at all times.  To the coaches and people close to him, he will always be remembered as a complete team player.  He never lacked in the qualities of desire, heart and willingness to work hard to achieve success.  This award is given to the player who displays these qualities each season at Huntington Beach High School in basketball, baseball and football, at the varsity level.  Bill was killed in an automobile accident on March 14th, 1970 while attending USC on an athletic scholarship.

Roy Miller MVP Award

Established 2006-2007 Season

 

The Roy Miller Most Valuable Player Award is given to the individual that has consistently shown dedication, leadership and most importantly, the ability to make every player around him better.  This player embodies the spirit of the Oiler tradition and is essential to the success of the team and the program.  This award was established during the 2006-2007 season and is dedicated to Roy Miller for all his devotion to the basketball program as a player, coach, and Athletic Director.
